Running the Matjrplace
Approve the people, settle the money, and keep an eye on the numbers.
8 chapters · 18 steps · Opening a chapter starts the guided tour on that page.
1.The numbers
Open this chapter →Revenue, orders, top performers, and anything currently needing a decision.
1The admin bar
Every admin screen hangs off this bar, and the badges are live counts of things waiting on you — pending approvals, commissions, payouts, sponsorships. If a badge is showing, someone is blocked.
2Revenue, orders, average, cancellations
One caveat worth knowing: revenue counts every order that wasn't cancelled, because there's no payment gateway yet. So this is order value, not money collected — revisit it when real payments land.
3Revenue over time
Bucketed by the day each order was placed. Every table in this app has a created_at and no updated_at, so all time series here are by creation date — a status change doesn't move an order in this chart.
4Who and what is performing
Top suppliers and top products by revenue, plus a per-affiliate table with clicks, conversion and earnings. That affiliate table is the quickest way to see who's actually driving sales rather than just sharing links.
5What needs a decision
Outstanding commission liability, payouts owed, and direct links to anything queued. Treat this as your to-do list — it points at the same things the nav badges count.
2.Approving people
Open this chapter →Suppliers and affiliates can't do anything until you approve them.
1Supplier requests
A supplier can register and sign in immediately, but can't list a single product until approved. Approving here is what unlocks their dashboard.
2Affiliate requests, with ID details
Affiliate rows carry national ID, WhatsApp, address and InstaPay details, because you're approving someone you'll be sending money to. Their referral link exists from registration but earns nothing until you approve.
3.Commissions
Open this chapter →Approving what affiliates have earned.
1What's owed and to whom
One row per commission, with the affiliate's email and the amount. A commission is created automatically at checkout when a referral cookie is present — you're reviewing, not creating.
2Why approving matters
Approved is the status that makes money withdrawable — an affiliate's balance is calculated from approved commissions only. Leaving these pending silently blocks people from being paid, which is why the nav badge counts them.
4.Paying people out
Open this chapter →Withdrawal requests from both affiliates and suppliers.
1Affiliate requests
Approve to authorise, then mark paid once you've actually made the transfer. The two steps are deliberate: approving reserves the amount against their balance, marking paid records that it's gone.
2Supplier requests
The same flow for suppliers withdrawing product revenue. Both use the InstaPay destination captured at registration — you can see it on the account requests screen.
5.Promoted placement
Open this chapter →Who gets promoted, for how long, and at what price.
1New requests
Suppliers and affiliates request a promoted slot for a number of days and are charged the platform daily rate. Approving puts them into the sponsored rows on the home and category pages.
2Extension requests
Sponsorships expire, and the owner gets a notification shortly before they do with an inline form to ask for more days. Those requests land here as a separate queue.
3Live sponsorships, and adding one yourself
Everything currently promoted, with the option to end it early. You can also search for any active product and sponsor it directly — useful for promotions you're running rather than ones someone paid for.
6.Products and pricing
Open this chapter →Every product across every supplier, editable in place.
1Editing prices and commission
Retail price, wholesale price and the per-product affiliate commission rate, all editable inline. Leaving the commission blank falls back to the platform default in Settings — set it per product only when that product needs to differ.
7.Orders
Open this chapter →Every order on the Matjrplace — and the only place status can change.
1Every order, filterable
All orders across all suppliers, with the same status filter and paging as the other order screens. Line items keep the price and title captured at purchase, so historical orders stay accurate after price changes.
2The only place status changes
Suppliers and affiliates can see order status but not change it — this control is the only way an order moves to fulfilled or cancelled. Changing it notifies the customer, so it isn't silent.
8.Platform settings
Open this chapter →The two global numbers everything else is calculated from.
1Commission rate and sponsorship price
The default affiliate commission percentage, and the daily cost of a sponsored slot. Both are global: the commission rate applies to any product without its own override, and the sponsorship rate prices every new request. Changing them doesn't rewrite existing commissions or live sponsorships. That's the admin path end to end.
